Twice today I explained that I had a wish and rather leave it to those actually schooled in the subject how to obtain that goal. Once to my doctor, once to my hairdresser.

The Dutch don't take to gatekeeping well, unless it is a nice young man with a lovely French accent apologising that there are no more seats in this carriage. Plenty of standing room, but he's just too NICE, so early in the morning. Nobody got in.

Twice now I've seen people pull a u-turn on Shaftesbury Avenue from the comfort of a restaurant. I'm equally impressed and appalled.

We don't have busdriver, we have a buspapa. He is safely driving the bus while consoling a young lady who slipped on ice and explaining how to treat her bruises with apple vinegar. Thank you, buspapa for being so kind.
