Marg offered me a "Nosing glass" and a small bottle of Glenfiddich for Christmas and tonight I followed the nosing process to see what it entails. It was interesting, and I have another scotch I'll be trying it with.

Last night I had a dream where a man entered my room and emotionlessly walked towards my bed and moved to put his hands around my neck. I tried to scream but found myself paralyzed. I still couldn't move when I woke up. This is how my brain lets me know I'm stressed 🫠

It took me literally hours to dig out Coffee Bean today. A nice neighbour interrupted his smoke break to come and help me dig under the tires and push her out because she would NOT move and I needed to back her out of my spot just to be able to clear the front and the windshield 😵💫🫠

I made it to the second level of Murdles and it took me like 10 tries to figure out the first puzzle. This does not bode well for the 3 upcoming difficulty increases 😅
Also, it's amazing how "If someone is lying, the opposite must be true" can be such a hard concept, logically 🫠

Good news: I made my connecting flight from Toronto to Ottawa without issue.
Bad news: My suitcase did not 🫠
It has been loaded on a flight to Ottawa now, so hopefully I will have it in a few hours.

Signed, and I encourage all Canadians to join me. We need the federal government to know that we won't stand for bigoted provincial governments abusing Notwithstanding to play culture war with trans peoples' lives. Not in Canada.
Canadian friends: here's a petition to stop AB and SK from Notwithstanding their anti-trans-healthcare legislation (this will make sense to Canadians). Don't let them shield their bigotry from Charter scrutiny!

Somehow I always end up watching Hell's Kitchen around this time of year. It's definitely a comfort show for me; it got me throufh my forst bout of covid and missing the holidays with my family in 2020.

Like 4 years ago, the process to renew my professional license went from a quick 20 min process to an involved 90 min process that actually requires critical thinking. Therefore, I have always left it to the last day, Dec 31st. This year I managed to get it done before leaving for vacation!

I spent 45 minutes battling with the smart lock on my front door because I needed to change its batteries. Telus has 2 kinds of smart locks and a how-to video for only one of them. They are very similar looking so it took an annoying amount of time for me to figure out I had the other one 🫠
