Because someone who specialises in animal behaviour isn’t a specialist in pharmacology? Research isn’t so simple that you pick a goal and then get there, sometimes silly things like playing hide and seek with rats can actually lead to breakthroughs about how brains work which could cure diseases

Yeah it’s a really weird concept to get your head around at first. A common misconception is that the act of just looking at it will change it from a wave to a particle - in order to ‘observe’ an electron’s position we first have to cause it to have some interaction which collapses its wavefunction

Technically this is true for anything but the wavelength for anything heavier than a subatomic particle is so small that it always behaves like a particle (ignoring very extreme conditions that we cannot reproduce)
