Yeah, that looks really nice on more simplistic shots like these! I feel like the more cluttered the shot, the more chaotic the colours can be.

Rebirth is better than the first game, in my opinion, especially with the DLCs. Repentance (the most recent dlc) adds a lot to the game and is 100% worth getting a lot with the others. The first game is still really good, though. It doesn't have as much content but still a great time🤩

Not sure about entirely new mechanics, but theres a way to generate "glitched" items, which essentially consist of a completely random game event + a completely random game trigger, which can lead to an item, for example, spawning a specific enemy upon entering a new room, etc. Its really interestin

big one that comes to mind is the binding of isaac: rebirth, a big concept of this game is being able to essentially "break" the game with the builds you can obtain, aswell as having items that can glitch sprites or spawn intentionally glitched/broken items

ive never played mouthwashing but surely people can enjoy games without knowing about the lore and themes of the game? like one of my favourite games of all time is the binding of isaac but I don't know one bit of the lore, but i guess mouthwashing has a bigger focus on the story / themes explofed
