Doesn't state media mean it's controlled by the state ? But, in this case it's controlled by a person to further his interests. Meaning if there was a fallout between this person and the state. The whole Twitter narrative changes.

Some people are saying they are firing and rehiring as part of their strategy to boost productivity.

Why do you think they do this ? Google I mean ? They don't trust they are going to support their own product ?

This have always puzzled me. What are the motivations of companies mandating RTO.
1. Employee control
2. Stake in commercial real estate
3. Silent Layoffs

Surely this will affect top talent to look elsewhere, and also it costs to maintain an office. Any thoughts or insider info.

This means when you move out you take them with you. I had a friend who invested in an expensive flooring. So, when moving out he took it all with him.

I believe complexity of software will grow which will always require expertise. While, as you mentioned breaking into less complex will be somewhat automated, complex and critical systems will always require expertise not only to develop. But, a very important aspect to maintain.

Wonder if others are seeing this shift in their interviews too? Curious to hear your experiences! And how scalable and unbiased is this approach. 4/4

This really highlights how the industry is maturing. And such interviews not just about finding a solution anymore -it's about finding a maintainable, production-ready solution.

Feels like companies are finally acknowledging that day-to-day engineering is more than just algorithms.

Even though I solved the coding challenge within the time limit (my leetcode brain kicked in!), it seems that was not enough and got rejected. Retrospectively, looking back I think one of the hints how to approach the problem was ` "Write code as if you're pushing to prod."` 2/?

I think social platforms should not heavily integrate AI. Especially when it comes to interaction, as it removes the genuity of social activities.

I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but they modified the approach if the candidate finished the question quickly to make it more interactive ? Is it really that helpful ? Also does it scale ? I've noticed Amazon solution to this in their OA to make the question as complicated as possible.

Also worth mentioning the major difference between contract work in Europe and NA. Usually in Europe it comes with lots of benefits such as health insurance, PTO...etc while in NA majority of contract comes with absolute nothing but the hourly rate.

In Europe I prefer contract while NA FTE.

So it is to show hiring managers/ recruiters that you have done research and not blindly applied, or to demonstrate a good fit and ultimately convince whoever is filtering candidates that its worth to move to the next stage ?

When the touchbar macbook was released everyone complained how lack of part it had, thermal issues...etc.

I much prefer it being a bit chunky than going back to the old touchbar design.
