Just a guy with 2 cents.
Father, teacher, author, INFJ
Reluctant Idealist.
I haven’t posted in quite a while.
I’ve been writing.
It’s the story of a woman.
Discarded, betrayed, humiliated.
The story of her rebirth.
Like a seedling sprouted from forgotten fruit.
She will rise once more, growing, and blossoming into the woman she is meant to be.
She is The Healer.

When you are beside yourself with anger do not turn to hate, harness your anger to love those who do good and build because you cannot defeat hate by destroying it, only by making it obsolete.

So, i write a lot, in 2018 i wrote a scifi dystopian novel “inspired” by the direction of the world’s worst leaders. I wrote a lot other stories about the lead up to the novel’s events. I’m no Nostrodamus but i’m seeing some obvious parallels. www.amazon.com.au/Omega-Genesi...

I recognize i’m preaching to the converted but i’m looking at the USA, shaking my head, and saying, “I told you so.” A lot these days.

I hope things get better.

It appears the USA has a Grand Vizier, and a puppet King.

Gosh. It’s a bit hot here in Adelaide.

It’s a beautiful late summer morning here. A lovely chance to take the kids to the park.

Waking up to someone who says they love you and gives you a hug is a special kind of peace.

It’s rather warm here in Adelaide. Cleaned out the fridge, gave food and water to the ravens. Watered the garden.
That’s enough for now.

You know what’s sad and pathetic?
The LNP here in Australia can see the fustercluck of Trump 2.0 and instead of repudiating it, they say, “Yeah, that’s our path to victory.”
And given the support from the MSM, they might be right.

Another day of teaching 1900-1950 Modern History. Another day of hearing students gasp and say, “oh.” As they realise the fact we’ve been here before.

In Australia, it's legal to lie in a political ad.

In the next few months, we will endure another federal election campaign with unfiltered exposure to lies and disinformation, UNLESS the Government passes truth in political advertising laws, which 87% of Australians support.

Let's get it done!

There’s a lot of anger in the world and unfortunately there are some that thrive on it.
I’m not going to replace my compassion with anger, not anymore. I won’t feed those that take enjoyment from suffering.
I’d rather kill them with kindness.

I’m writing of a childhood.
Two Years by the Sea.
Thirty one short stories.
Of the boy that would be me.

It’s been a busy few days back at school, but i’m motivated, relatively well rested, and enjoying the week so far.
I know teaching can be hard, but with supportive management it’s still rewarding.

First lesson teaching Nazi Germany for the year and the immediate parallels are frightening.
I can only hope the students see the clear and present danger we are faced with, just as the world was faced with rising evil in the 1930s
