Gunner's Daughter is my 5th favorite beer of all time. This is definitely an interesting take on it. I think the original is still better,....the sweetness overrides the nuttiness and slight coffee taste of the original, but I could definitely see myself craving this at times during the winter.

Not what I was expecting, but this is great. It does have the cinnamon, little or no apple, a hint of vanilla (and maybe brown sugar?).., but it's 100% a nut brown ale. I was expecting a straight up dessert style, but the nuttiness, malts, and slight bitterness don't take a backseat.
