I always hope that the ones I've sold have found their way into someone else's collection and they are loved and worn frequently. :)

I'm only ever going to have one watch box, though. If I buy something new, I have to sell something else. That gets more and more difficult as time goes on.. which was the intention.

I want to have a collection that I'll wear, not just to collect for the sake of collecting.

It was too small for my wrist. Wound up selling it a few weeks ago.

Still, it was my gateway into being a "serious" collector, so I'll never forget it.

Since then, bought a few, sold a few. I'm happy with where things are now.

I’m curious if that’s an eBay sale or to a family member/friend. Either way. RIP video card.

Not sure what kind it was. NVIDIA card. It had “RTX” printed on the heatsink. Probably mid-range model of some sort.

However, it was one of the reasons that I loved watches and enjoy having a small collection to this day.

I paid for it myself, so wanted to get the most out of it. And I did.

I don’t remember when I stopped wearing it, but I do remember it sat in a drawer for the longest time. I think I finally threw it away when I couldn’t see the point of keeping it.

I wore that thing until it fell apart. At one point, the rotating bezel fell off. I krazy glued it back on. It no longer rotated but it didn’t make sense why it rotated anyhow.

Had to replace the battery at least once.

The crown fell off, but I could still set it with pliers.

I bought a watch very similar to this one back in the mid-late 80s. Saved up the money myself. It cost $50 back then, which is about $150 in today dollars.

I found the ad for it in a comic that I was reading. It took a while to get here. Probably from China.

I haven't owned a Mac for probably 15 years at this point and the experience is a lot nicer when it isn't restricted for work!

I can't imagine ever replacing my deskop PC with a Mac because games.. but it's the perfect laptop!

Because of this, I finally sold my Thinkpad and got a MacBook Air for my personal use.

The Thinkpad was way overkill for what I need a laptop for, and it's not even a decent gaming laptop, so I wasn't really even gaming on it.

Even stuff like music apps that I DO use regularly, I'd rather just open them when I need them rather than having them running in the background idle constantly.

Which is silly because I have a ridiculous amount of RAM.. it's probably fine. lol

Yep! And you always forget about it. You install a bunch of stuff and the next boot, like 8 windows open automatically.. and you're like.. wtf.. 😂

I tried using an iPad as a laptop replacement.. probably about 13-ish years ago. Worked OK. Eventually went back to a laptop.

Now? Apart from gaming while traveling, the iPad does it all. I’ll be curious to see if I think so long-term.

I hadn’t even intended on using this as a laptop replacement, but I’ve definitely been finding myself using my laptop a LOT less since I’ve gotten it.

I connected my Bluetooth keyboard and trackball and, at this point, 99% of what I use my laptop for can be done on the iPad.
