My first thought is that there are a lot of Italian "and Sons" businesses but have absolutely no evidence to back this up.

I like those fonts also and use them where I don't need strict monospace. They're based on IBM Plex Mono, which unlike most monospace typefaces, has beautiful italics.

I think the idea that economists as a group are unusually smart has needed serious reconsideration for a long time. We all found out no later than 2008 that a lot of them are dopes.
