Shortened the rooftop scaffolding, as the appeal of driving on a rooftop is the angled ground! I also extended the track a tiny amount, adding second roof to jump onto:

Worked on the Snow Castle track some more for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!

Today, I made the part of track connecting the shatter window to the rooftop using a combination of wall assets and scaffolding and one big boost pad!

I also worked on the rooftop part of the track a little:

Now I haven't made the ramp up to the buildings roof, so it's currently connected with a placeholder mirror portal, but the planned roof part of the track is now modeled and has proper collision, albeit without any obstacles or ramps to make it fun (not looking for suggestions, thank you!)

Workeed on the snow castle track for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!

To start, I made a jump at the end of the room that will launch the player through some (currently very temp) windows and back on the castle walls. There are two routs, with the high route landing on a bit of scaffolding first:

Added some small gameplay and visual elements to the library. Inspired by the sewers track, I added a higher level thats easy to fall off from that has a stronger boost pad and added clutter and a less powerful boost pad on the lower level.

Working on the snow castle map some more for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!

Added the library room, which will be the area after the castle wall. Right now its extremely bare bones, but we gotta get the foundation down before we add stuff to it! (Not looking for suggestions, thank you!)

The snowfall is a simple small particle system that follows the player around. I added a volume system that detaches and 'leaves behind' the snow particle on entrance, and re-attaches and resets the particle on exit. It's very unfinished, but it's progress!!

Working on the snow castle level some more for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!!!

Most of today's work was spent making interior, non snowy versions of the various textures. I also added a carpet on the stairs, and widened them.

Next up is making those snow particles turn off when inside!!

tweaked the towers to fit the new wider castle walls, with wider entrances fit for a mob of 8 racers to zoom through

as im sure any level designer can understand, this tiny tweak took a LOT of work. But it's done!
