also you can see how startled i was having this happen, i honestly didn't think lost in the fog would go as far as to change enemy placements, but it was a good little jumpscare.

oh, and this actually caught me by surprise, like i quickly looked around if an enemy had shown up, but it really was just that noise. what it was? i don't know, and that's what makes it scary.

also, during what i like to call the "house maze" sequence, there's so much to take in with all the little stuff scattered across the environment. pieces of a tumultuous relationship between family, and a seemingly important date.

one thing i forgot to mention is that man does this game look really good, like this lighting is absolutely mesmerizing. it really shows the kind of beauty you can find even in a horror setting that you are currently on.

the final boss of this ending was nothing short of a pain in the ass, and lord knows that's gonna be true when i attempt the next ending. i will say, the last cutscene is nothing short of disturbing after being lead from what seemed to be a form of resolution.

other than silent hill + a bunch of other stuff i want to start getting through my backlog, yes, i still play overwatch and i do love ramattra a lot. (this is mainly for the small number of people that i've known for almost a decade now)

also, this game's version of the otherworld is done with some really good taste. transitioning to it reminds me of how it worked in SH1 and SH3, which is a nice little callback to those games, on top of how much it is inspired by them, especially when it comes to SH3.

i also appreciate some of the the teenage melodrama, especially when you find some notes belonging to two of hinako's friends, and the chalkboard in the school. high school truly never ends.

i haven't been on all that much but in between living and looking at art on the other site, i've been playing silent hill f and currently on my 3rd NG+ run. i really do appreciate how good and daring the game has been in its subject matter and is the best to make use of the beyond the town concept.
