Newport is a fishing town. You have ocean on one side of the street and forest on the other. It’s been 10 years or so since the last time I was there, but at the time there was a brewery just one town over and Newport was also where I learned to like clam chowder. What more do you need, really?

Oregon is probably my favorite state. In a perfect world, I would be living in Newport Oregon right now.

This whole post reminds me of a Josh Groban song. But I might just be old and sentimental.
