As terrible as it sounds it would be easier for a Democrat to defeat Paxton than it would be to beat Cornyn. Moderates loathe Paxton while they find Cornyn better than a Democrat in Texas.

There is not a single Democrat in any elected position in all of Jasper and Newton counties. Not seeing how a Democrat can enable anything. It is interesting to note that every officeholder here from county commissioner to Congresscritter is MAGA, every single one enables the Dear Leader.

Exactly, in order for this to be passed under reconciliation everything must be related in some way to the budget.

The Dotard can pardon him for the Federal Civil Rights conviction but Derrick is STILL going to spend the rest of his years in a MN State Prison. It would be political suicide in that State for the Democrat Governor to pardon him.

Japan and South Korea have already taken some informal talks with the PRC something that would have been unthinkable for both before the US showed its disrespect.

This has no chance of passing because it would require 60 votes in the Senate and every single Republican in the House and lots of them are from farm districts where farmers will lose a lot of money if they can't sell to USAID. No 60 votes, no way to dismantle the agency.

Things are moving fast now we're almost there. Our democracy is circling the bowel and it's time for the media to get serious and get very real... ALL of the SANE media at least. If this gets much further on the road to Dictatorship then I think you know as well as I this doesn't end without blood..
