In 1913 Joe Hill wrote this line about how workers should unionize so they can afford better meals. The example he uses is "eggs and ham". I just thought it was funny how that line suddenly became relevant for American workers again this year.

I played through Phantom Liberty for the first time recently and... Holy shit?? It's so good??? I don't know why I didn't play it on release, I think I was just burnt out by Cyberpunk after playing so much of it, but Phantom Liberty drew me right back in.

I'm watching the Netflix remake of the Last Airbender. I just finished episode 2, and at this point I can confidently say that all it has managed to do for me is make me want to go watch the original animated show instead.

Humans came out of Africa and then for some reason some of us decided to live in the arctic circle. Why did we do that. Just to see if we could? Just to spite god? It's -51°C. Humans were clearly never supposed to live here.

what if instead of making my own youtube videos i start a consulting business where people can just tell me their video ideas or show me their scripts and say "is this good" and i ramble for 4 hours straight and they pay me like $2 after the video is done

I'm sad that Twitter sucks now. I also post on BlueSky and Mastodon but it's just not the same. I think I'm gonna be spending most of my online time on Discord from now on.
