I had thought that it might be that he's slowly starting to get vampiric traits as he slowly starts to fall in love (he would have the healing ability permanently and gain the others with time) but I guess not. He just randomly for that split moment was a vampire.😑

Agreed. I wouldn't say it's a terrible OP but it's definitely worse in every way. After the episode ended I had to watch Watch Me like a junkie needing a fix and that might end up being a weekly routine for me.
