(fae/she/they 🧚‍)

just a pretty girl, building up a pretty world

i used to do things; now, not so much

blm; acab; let's all be gay and destroy capitalism together! 😊
this still leaves the sides unbalanced, so i figure the capcom fighting all-stars characters are totally fair game to rope back into this concept—particularly given all the new original characters in ngbc

someone ought to do a mugen that conflates cfj & ngbc into a single game, the cvs3 that circumstances happened to deny us

fixing the "groove" options so they work more like motm and cvs 1&2 where you can choose any game system for any character

maybe adding back in that sf one team cut from cfj

cfj (left) and ngbc (right) even have a similar release window, and both were tossed together for an arcade dreamcast variant (naomi; atomiswave)

and neowave—well, it's in the title

kof2k1 being mvs of course, but the dreamcast port is the definitive edition, fleshed out with a bunch of fixes

kof, you know, it's kind of a faggy thing
November 9, 2025 at 7:54 PM
uh

in hindsight i guess i should have expected something like this

how many attempts at a street fighter sequel are we at now?

- final fight (aka street fighter '89)
- human killing machine
- street fighter 2010: the final fight
- fatal fury
- street fighter ii: the world warrior
November 9, 2025 at 6:54 PM
regarding the weird-ass us gold strider sequel—strider ii, not to be confused with the other strider sequels, strider; strider 2; or strider—which their contract to port the original arcade game to european home computers somehow also permitted

from the bootleggames wiki; looks like philko was a dubious south korean outfit with a rocky history

i didn't notice at the time, as i don't use terry's classic outfit in either game, but capcom *kind of* did this at cotw's launch

was wondering about the color choices back then, as they felt a little muted—but yeah okay, terry at least is a direct lift from his cotw color 3

mai is a bit stranger

azurelore & who? submit your fanart now 🧚🏻‍♀️

i think it's a little funny that capcom has carried over snk's new stock colors for ken and chun, when capcom is still individually selling their own stock colors and cotw has a full-ass edit mode 😆

regardless,

so under my radar the guile and akuma mcgouki codes came out a week later

part of the first code is EAT

part of the second code is FAT

... 🤔

from a week ago, when i last managed to put clothes on...
November 8, 2025 at 3:27 PM
found it

what it mostly seems to do is regulate the pain to a constant mild nausea instead of surprise peaks and furrows
November 8, 2025 at 3:25 PM
i shall add, because i wish to: much like fisher stevens, jeff has looked like many different people over the years. no reason why in the late '70s he couldn't go through a phase where he looks kinda like terry.

he already kinda has, peroxide aside...
November 7, 2025 at 7:32 PM
beyond the main theme working its way into fatal fury's versus mode, the game is so clearly a direct precursor to fatal fury in general theme, concept, tone, and detail.

the american dude is basically a proto-terry... even if he's more of a dead ringer for (krohnen father figure??😏) ray mcdougal

i *think* the person who did sound and music for these three games later stepped in to do kof 2001 when most of snk's 1990s staff left for capcom or dimps.

... okay yeah, sort of. 2001 had two people on sound and music, who between them had worked on all three older games.
