I'm also realizing that what I said ab fights being fun before I learn them def influences my liking for Headless Ape, cus its basically a runback of a previous boss and I already knew Headless Ape's moveset, but beyond that I genuinely just find it fun, its ultimately a swordfight just opponent big

I think that summarizes why I like it actually, its a very rare enjoyable 1v2 fight imo cus it doesnt feel like a 1v2 but a 1v1 with a gimmick
Arena could be bigger tho and I'd probs like it better if it was

the fact shes also highly reactive and predictable cus she follows up on the Headless Ape's moves also makes it feel pretty nice cus it stops feeling like fighting two enemies at once and more like a single enemy that can put two hitboxes up and cover their own stagger which I find fun and unique

for this reason in my biased opinion, I genuinely kinda enjoyed Headless Ape, at least compared to Demon of Hatred and Guardian Ape
having the girlfriend Ape not have the most asshole moves from Guard Ape is also nice, if she had the shit fling or bullshit grab it'd def be the worst boss ever tho

see what I think defines Sekiro bosses as fun is how enjoyable they are BEFORE they actually clickerino turn into a dance, bosses like Geni and Owl were fun BEFORE I figured out their moveset cus they were just fun to interact with, Demon of Hatred wasnt fun UNTIL I learned how to dodge everything
