But, too many of them cherry-pick a specific source to frame their entire narrative around it, while disregarding everything else that would otherwise contradict it.

Ahh, so they are going for more of a shounen manga vibe where Hideyoshi is our Bro? Yeah, I'd definitely take that over the overdone cartoonish villain portrayals, that even the 2023 Ieyasu drama had (hopefully)

I suppose I should finally read Taikōki by the time 2026 rolls around. From the sample that I read of the first few pages, it was quite enjoyable and funny.

Hmmm... Hideyoshi taiga drama for 2026, huh?
Admittedly, I'm quite tired of "evil mastermind" Hideyoshi stories coming out recently, so I'm hoping this one won't go overboard with it.
Though, putting the main focus on Hidenaga can be good and is a smart move.
