Another fantastic suggestion, but it can lead heavier into dark and lurid themes in later volumes. Relkin's gradual emergence as a magic user was also a great touch.

Alright, here's two sketches of an OC I made for Fallout 76. His name is Verde. He's a Vault dweller from western Colorado. Their experiment involved replacing organs with rudimentary cybernetics, but they ran out of parts and supplies.

Car died when I went to get a haircut during my lunch break. Got a call from my dentist to schedule an extraction for a tooth while waiting on the roadside assistance. Explaining the gist to my boss before I miss a meeting.
