It seems the issue was a scene where a father and his young daughter go to the farm and the girl picks and starts riding one of the naked men with head masks.
Valve had an issue with that being "child explotation" and rejected them. They removed that scene for the other stores, but don't mention it.

Wasn't there a 007 movie where the main character says something like "Hey, this never happened to the other fellow?", referring to the previous actor incarnating him, which basically acknowledges that James Bond has been multiple people?

El arco emocional de El Listo con Scott Adams:
- Me gusta este tío.
- Me has roto el corazón, eres un mierdas, Scott.
- Aún puede redimirse.
- Aún puede redimirse.
- Se caerá del guindo antes de morir?
- (Por favor redímete antes de morir)
- Mira, dibuja a Dilbert diciendo esto y te redemirías. 🙏

They could have formed a forward pointing arrow between the bottom of the K and the top of the N, mimicking the travel back, then forward again from the movie...

The widescreen support makes those long jumps over wide pits much less scary, of course! And enemies don't startle you as much when you see them coming thanks to the longer field of view.

Came out at the end of First Edition. Never got re-released as part of Second Edition due to the game being cancelled before then.
It sells in Ebay for up to 10x its original retail price...

It was my favorite Imperial fighter, so luckily I pre-ordered 4 of them when they first came out. 😅

Exactly this: "Commercial Dumping".
Amazon plays the long game, like it always did. Sell products at below cost price, lead competitors to close down business. Once without competition, you have a prisoner market to whatever price hikes or quality sinking you want to go on with.

What is so obvious to everyone already by June 99 that LucasArts wouldn't make any other X-wing game or expansion?
It feels weird, since the Azzameen story isn't fully resolved.

Unless I am mistaken, all these games are called "Adventure" because they are "Adventure"-like (just like there are Rogue-like), with "Adventure" referring to the "Colossal Cave Adventure", where the gameplay is about going over there, picking that, coming here, using it there, continue.

If you register the floppy version with XWVM and launch that one, you will get the totally flat-shaded models that come with that version.
The problem is that the floppy version doesn't have sound effects, voiced briefings, bonus missions, etc. It's a compromise.

I mostly play with mouse. There is a "Turn to Face Target" key that makes mouse control very pleasant.

And by no means I am implying that it wasn't done as you describe because, ideed, if we pause the video we can see the white support that is joining the 9 and the 3 foam numbers even when the numbers are seen in front of the first car.
I am just wondering if there wasn't a simpler way to do this.
May 7, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Sure, but I mean, wouldn't it have been just simpler to superimpose a subtitle that matches the foam numbers, and remove it (by fading) before the car collides with them?

That is why I asked how subtitles used to be done back then, because to me it doesn't feel more complicated than that.
