Well I didn’t see this. I use screws with a good size pan head, I drive them halfway in, then I put the light wires so that they sandwich the screw head and/or wrap the wire around the screw shaft.

And even with all that, plus accumulated (often stolen) knowledge to draw from, it still took them several tries to get a viable kaboom.

If it wasn’t that hard, a lot more countries would have these weapons. There’s good reason that most nations have decided that a nuclear weapons program just isn’t worth it.

Might have been using two different kinds of threads, if you have two machines then you don’t have to keep rethreading the machine every time you gotta switch threads. Just a guess. (Some projects it’d be *real* nice to have a second machine for this reason.)

I will say that Plummer fought his ass off to get better that year. But I also think they knew the options were just not going to be ideal at all that season. They lost to NAU not because of coaching malpractice or players half-assing it, the team was just that bad.

He’s one of those players that no matter their skill level (and his is high!) is just an absolute pain in the ass to go up against. Even if you beat them, it’s no fun.

McCloud was looking good in the first year until that gruesome injury. He couldn’t crack the rotation - he got a fair shake - after that and ended up going to a place that was a much better fit for him. (In 2022 the 2021 leading rusher and passer both ended up fifth on the depth chart.)

Yeah, it sounds like he knew a lot about the details of that… and still went with him until his hand was forced.

Fisch did a damn good job here but it also wasn’t gonna last. His 2023 class was a disaster and word was he may have overextended NIL. (That 2022 class, though, was amazing.) All said, he’s a good coach. Brennan is a good cultural fit here with ties to the program’s history. He was the right hire.

Fisch’s ’23 recruiting class was nearly a complete bust, Brennan did a very smart job rebuilding the roster over the offseason and the new coordinators have been very good.
