It's been 4 years since COVID stopped my journey in jiu jitsu. I removed the two stripes I earned over 2.5 years of training. I was probably close to my blue belt. This hurts a bit but it's the right way to do it.

And the one thing that gets them through it is hope and a happy attitude. Because they are THANKFUL to be alive when they were born into a life where odds were immediately against them.

It's genuinely eye-opening when I realize I make some of these people's yearly salaries in 2 months.
I challenge you all to think if you can move to a new country and live on $3k a year in houses like these and waiting every night for a spot on a jeepney ride just to get home after working 12 hrs

I think some of my colleagues like to complain but have zero idea what it's truly like to know struggle.
