Does this take require more nuance? Of course it does. I understand that even in those times queer lives were lived out in relative secrecy. That the concealment of those lives was often historically successful. But those lives were still lived, hidden or not—concealment and fear didn’t negate them.
There should be more queer people in historical fiction. Not where queer romance or sexuality is the focus of the story—though that’s important too—but where queer people, queer lives, are just part of the fabric of the story.

Terror camp has already been so lovely - deeply grateful for all the people who organize it and make presentations! Also had a ton of fun talking with everyone in the discord today, it was really nice to talk to so many people who have the same interests as me :]
