De hele gang van zaken rondom dit 'voorstel' en de bekendmaking ervan getuigt van onkunde, chaos, chronisch gebrek aan communicatie binnen de VS-regering en wil om de Russen maar te geven wat zij eisen. Typerend voor landverraders als Trump en foute leiders. Het bewijst dat de VS hebben afgedaan.

Not sure what post this comment responds to… imo using hunger as a political weapon is insane. It’s telling to see more movement and desire to negotiate once economic interests are threatened.

Now if only the suits in congress represented the people. Effectively, the path for Trump to extend MAGA rule post-2026 through regular democratic means seems closed, leaving only unprecedented options like nuking filibusters and even more hollowing out of voting rights.

What stops the current senate from nuking the filibuster and reinstating the filibuster before the midterms (which could be tipped towards republicans through voter suppression laws that are passed by simple majority).
It’s a suicidal move, but I’ve seen strange things happen this year …
