Or we building houses that are closer to the sf average of 1980‘S? New homes averaged about 700 sf per person. Now houses at about 1,100 sf per person, .>60%. Adjusted residential construction costs is actually slightly cheaper now.

Same. I thought the representation of patronage and cronyism well done as the setting for late 1800’s politics (and eerie preview of what might happen again).
