Repeat PSA: Don't use glue traps/fly paper! This Mexican free-tailed bat got lucky but many don't get saved. Please let people know that glue traps of any kind are inhumane and dangerous. 🦇

Arizona is home to 5 species of free-tailed bats (family Molossidae) and we currently have 4 in care. They definitely look related but when they are all together you can really see their differences. They are all very mellow, gentle, and social bats. 🦇

Please welcome our newest bat, a big free-tailed bat (N. macrotis). She came to us from Nebraska Wildlife Rehab. They assume she was blown off course during a storm. Since they aren't found in NE, they brought her to us for release. For now we have 4 of the 5 species of free-tailed bats in AZ. 🦇
