a friend gave me a nice weighted piano / midi controller yesterday. he plugged it in before i got there to check it out and swore he heard an actual "pop". ordered a replacement power supply from evilzon to see if the board itself took a hit or if this poor old supply took all the weight 🤞🏽

already been a sub. turns out the nux can only utilize tap tempo but not midi clock sync. so the rc5 is back in the lineup

dude would really rather that i just sit the fuck down so he can have his favorite warm seat back. board is at stasis, will have to spend a week or two in this config to see if anything is out of place. it literally takes me doing a bunch of improv stuff to tell me whats wrong, feels ok atm tho

90's anime had zero chill. Goku MIdnight Eye starts off with a touch of ultraviolence then into a scene at a club with a topless dancer wearing just some panties & some kind of back harness fitted with handlebars. Seems like that would really chafe.

Angel Cop (1990) is batshit. The English dub is amazing and very much of its time. While I can't recommend you watch it, I'm kinda smitten by how crazy it is.

initially i was just building my whole recent set on ipad w a single 16 knob controller. each encoder was assigned to multiple parameters of the effects and software synths. the encoders double as push buttons so i can also play it like a keyboard.

#blame! by tsutomu nihei is equal parts nightmarish and gorgeous. I had no idea what the story was about and as i'm only near the middle, i still really dont. but its completely captivating. just wish the "pages" were like 18"x24" so i could better see all the amazing details

about a year ago i grabbed a Tensor from a friend who literally had it in a pile of unused pedals. didnt know much about it just heard it was a micro looper which sounded fun. since then i got two other red panda pedals and for their size and price i think they're seriously underrated. so much fun!
