Not everything I grow is edible, but everything edible I grow is chosen because I like it.

Here's to getting through this.
I've only ever had a mild version during the lockdown times, though I was getting vaccinated during that period too. The UK gvmnt only offers the vaccines to the immunocompromised and elderly now.
It's still a nasty virus, despite too many people thinking it's gone.

I think last winter upset it. We had a lot of really strong wind (for the UK). I thought I'd put it somewhere sheltered enough, but it mustn't have been.
My last tiny, curled up green leaf was nestled in slime, surrounded by what was left of the root skin.
So, I figure crown rot.

It moved house, about 5 min walk from the last place, is nearer to the beach and has less shelter.
Those are the only differences. It was big and leafy in the last garden/yard.

My rhubarb isn't happy.
There's a tiny bit of green in the middle.

I'm sure I must get some.
All my plants are in pots as my landlord prefers paving slabs.
It's mostly the wind that's the issue. My previous garden had more wind shelter.
My heather and one of my stawbs have died outright. The bay laurel and passion flower are only just recovering.

Brainwashed.
My sister started one of these rants at me a couple of weeks ago and I asked her where she got her info. She went quiet.
I later discovered that a lot of what she said was quotes from Farage -_-

Whatever can survive my coastal, regularly wind bashed, back yard.
