This is a compain book that I didn't know existed until now. Apparently, this contains her original outline, notes, and epilogue. Du Maurier also explains more about her inspiration for Manderly. I need this!

There were ten or twelve cassettes, and my angsty teen self would listen at night in the dark, over and over. The narration had music and sound effects -- truly lovely storytelling.

It never ceases to amaze me that folks don't see that The Great Gatsby is an indictment of the ultra wealthy, not a 'how to' handbook.
