I started the rewrite today. 2500 words down. A middle-of-the-book chapter of the POV I am considering cutting. We'll see if he can convince me to keep him. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Got very interesting feedback last night. Of the kind where I totally agree that I have those issues, but have no idea whatsoever how to fix them. And being a hopeless pantser, I need to write the whole thing to see if my solutions actually work 😢 #writingcommunity

I found a way around the plot hole! Still don't have a list of all the changes I want to make, but getting closer. After 2 years of keeping it on the back burner, I am excited to give it a complete rewrite and hopefully get rid of the feeling that it's not the best it could be. #writingcommunity

Wrote over 2k words today trying to find a way out of the plot hole. I think I am digging myself deeper. But I #amwriting so that’s good.

So here I am, happily writing a scene where characters brainstorm their roles in the Big Event. Everything is glorious. Until one of them wonders why not “ask the eagles”. The “eagles” are able and willing.
It’s not just a plot hole, it’s a Grand Canyon-sized one. I need lots of chocolate, I think.

After almost a year and a half of not touching my MS, it's feels so great to be making some real progress. It's an Nth rewrite, but I feel it's going to take it from good to great.
