A digital illustration of my old home the day we got put into the back of a police car, with a reflection of my face staring out, with a "=)" written into condensation on the window. Artist Statement Fall 2025 - (Name Censored) House of Horrors In this piece, I wanted to take the time to step outside of my comfort zone by doing background work, as well as taking a look back into my past. This captures a moment from the day that I was escorted out of my childhood house into the back of a police car the same day my mom died. We woke up one day and found her dead in her bed and called 911. Police saw what the state of the house was, and they called it a “House of Horrors” (Times Union) and escorted us out as fast as possible. The name was an understatement, it was absolute hell living there, we lived in filth from neglect for years. Now… we were finally free. But at what cost?

Also, do not trust anyone who reaches out to you and claims that they reported your account because there was an impersonator without proof.
