Unfortunately I spent the the day watching the radar from work in Tempe, Arizona. Thankfully I caught a few shots as severe warned storms moved through the area. #azwx #arizona #monsoon2025

Didn’t get the rain this morning as it stayed West of Chandler, but I managed to capture some sunrise color over the Eastern sky. Not a bad way to start the fall season here in Arizona. #AutumnEquinox #sunrise #arizona #iphonephotography

“CLOUD APPRECIATION DAY”

The shelf cloud is definitely one of my favorite clods. Here’s a panorama of a beautiful shelf cloud, taken back on August 21, 2022 (Birthday) up in Mayer, Arizona. #iphonephotography #azwx #panorama

Isolated shower/storm potential for the Valley later this evening & tonight. Best chances across the higher terrain. On Thursday, a few factors, including a moisture surge from Hurricane #Lorena could really increase storm & heavy rainfall chances for the Valley. #azwx #Phoenix

A few storms are rolling through the Valley and put on a little show with the mammatus clouds. Here’s an ultra wide angle shot from home here in Chandler, Arizona. #azwx #iphonephotography

Happy first day of Fall. A weakening/Northward moving high pressure will help usher moisture into our area from a developing tropical system in the Eastern Pacific. Temps will gradually cool through the week with better rain chances returning to the Valley by late week. #azwx #MeteorologicalAutumn

Here’s one more shot of the massive wall of dust (Haboob) that plowed through Central Arizona, leaving a path of destruction in its wake!

We weren’t here when the other huge Haboob moved through back in July of 2011. So for now, this is the biggest one I’ve seen since living here. #haboob #azwx

My goodness, #Erin is now a Cat 5 Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 160 mph and a minimum central pressure of 917 mb. Erin literally went from a Tropical Storm to a Cat 5 Hurricane in just about 24 hours. That’s some crazy intensification! #hurricane

Our weather here in Phoenix will become active come late Saturday through early Monday as low pressure parks itself over our region. This help help to usher in moisture from TS #Alvin which is currently located South of Baja California. #azwx #Phoenix

The unsettled weather pattern will continue this week as two systems will move through the region on Tuesday & the more potent one on Thursday. This will bring more rain chances to the Valley. Expect rain, cooler temperatures and breezy to windy conditions. We still need the rain! 🌧️🌨️ #phoenix #azwx
