okay this is actually super rad! i hope all my fellow twitter converts find this just as useful as i did! (it's not a 100% accurate but gets the job done 90% of the time)

Yep. Muting renders them invisible to you. Blocking banishes them from your realm.
I never mute. To my mind if someone is annoying enough to mute, they're annoying enough to kick to the curb.

Muting can actually be dangerous. Because a person can harass and attack all of your followers systematically and target you on all your posts and you'll have no idea. (I speak from experience.) Only mute innocuous people you find annoying. Block everyone that presents a danger to you.
Reminder that “mute lists” are not “Block lists”. People you mute with these lists can still interact with your posts - you just won’t see it.
Keep that in mind: blocking is often Bc a more effective defensive measure.

For those not in the know:
Cranberries grow in a bog surrounded by wolf spiders that eat pests.

i'm sure people have their thoughts on Mark Laita, but I liked how well he talks bout how complex and wicked of a social issue homelessness really is
it's not as simple as just give them homes, or they should just get a job!
