yeah and it's even worse because they always decide Rosh Hashanah is it, and every September, my mother gets up in a tizzy about the same nonsense, and I'm just like could y'all leave the Jewish holidays alone yet? but nope. Told her today I hope some year she figures it out.

yep grew up on that kinda thing too much between Jack Van Impe and TBN. Wasn't hard to see through once I got older. My mother however still eats it up. She's come in multiple times to tell me she "hasn't flown up yet"
