The rain didn’t help either what with obscuring lines and mirrors but if I can do it in the rain for the first time I can do it anytime… Right?!

I cannot imagine having to reverse into a bay between cars but I also wonder if they will be a better visual aid than some faded af lines on the floor

I also learnt my second manoeuvre! Bay parking was tricky at first but once I trusted my instincts instead of relying on the instructions it was a lot easier.

It did help me practice slow curves at speed while staying in my lane!

For once I was also the one complaining about a slow poke because I was stuck behind someone going like 30 on the A12 (and I don’t know how to change lanes yet) so I kept having to slow down

It also reminded me of the other week’s takeaway being “sometimes the best way to create room for someone else is to keep moving” because my instinct was to just stop where I was (which was in the way)

I had to pull to the side to let two emergency vehicles through today and it was daunting but not as daunting as I’d always imagined it would be!

It was also raining so I got experience driving in the rain! Not a fan. It makes checking my wing mirrors feel a lot harder and like I need to pay more attention when I do check them

I still made mistakes too (like stopping beyond of a stop line in a cycle box 😂) but I felt a lot more confident than I did yesterday and I think that’s mostly because I tried to be less hesitant

I also learnt my first manoeuvre – pulling up on the right and reversing two car lengths! It wasn’t too bad but I think the others (parking in a bag and parallel parking) will be worse 😩

We also went round some more roundabouts and that didn’t feel as scary as it did before!

I did a better job of not getting too close to the kerb/parked cars today than I have done previously which gives me hope since that is my longest standing mistake I keep making

The more driving I do the more experience I’ll get and the easier it’ll be to navigate different things even if I’m in a new place
