I feel like we all have that classic book we’re embarrassed to not have finished yet… for me it’s Dante’s Inferno (I’ve been 50 words deep for almost a year because I keep getting sidetracked by other books 🫣)

This might be one of the most beautiful ways I’ve heard it described- yes, being a writer is being haunted by all the stories you haven’t told and the ones you fear you didn’t tell well enough

There’s also something about turning a page that makes a story so much more real. Doing something tactile to advance in the story, being able to physically feel the weight of the pages behind you and those ahead, it’s a journey that an e-book doesn’t provide.
