The CPUC’s job is to protect us, not utility shareholders. Clean energy should be a public good, not a profit scheme. Please add your name to tell the CPUC: keep energy affordable and approve a lower cost of capital for utilities.

A decision is expected next week, so please sign on today.👇
ACT: The CPUC Must Protect Ratepayers, Not Shareholders
Affordable power is essential for a clean energy future. Tell the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to stand with Californians, not corporate utilities demanding double profits.

These standards would:
 ✅ Slash pollution
 ✅ Improve public health
 ✅ Save residents money
✅ Align with CA’s climate goals

Make your voice heard, and join us in the fight for clean air.

On June 6, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will vote on two vital healthy air standards that would phase in zero-emission appliances when polluting gas appliances burnout. We’re rallying at SCAQMD HQ at 8:00 AM to show public support for these rules before the board vote.

I have seen evidence of social media addiction among local electeds (and many others of course). Good news: some social media campaigns can be pretty effective thanks to the tiny slot machines we all carry with us 24/7.

Nearly 1 in 5 IOU customers are behind on their bills, with the average amount owed approx $821.50. 😱

Californians have had enough, but this is cause for hope. We look forward to independent, ratepayer-centered analysis of utility returns and more reforms to keep consumer costs down. 3/3

Thanks also to Assembly members Tri Ta, Laurie Davies, Sharon Quirk-Silva, and Phillip Chen who also signed on. 🙌

For too long, the CPUC has rubber-stamped investor owned utility rate increases in service to obscene utility profits.

Irvine cannot meet climate goals by planting trees - it’s time to stop burning fossil fuels. (4/4)

Also Irvine’s Climate Action Plan is a joke and DOES NOT EXIST, despite the city spending $750,000 in taxpayer $ on plan planning. See the Irvine section of our 2024 OC CAP report card update below. Irvine voted to create a CAP in June 2021 - almost 4 years ago and they still have no plan. (3/4)

Exiting OCPA would
1. destroy energy choice for Irvine residents
2. ensure that Irvine homeowners stop getting solar
3. eliminate tens of millions in climate funding for EV chargers, home batteries, efficient appliances, etc.
4. keep Irvine on fossil fuels (2/4)
