Circulating in Turkey, a boycott calendar for April. "GENEL BOYKOT" is for days one doesn't buy anything at all to as protest to Erdogan govt policies, "BOYKOT" means just boycotting pro-govt brands and shops, buying bare minimum and using cash on those days.

I disagree with this headline. There's a better chance than ever, IF the world supports protesters. Compared to Gezi 2013, now: pretty much everyone against status quo has been mobilized, there's clear political leadership (CHP), realistic objectives (free Imamoglu, early elections), failed economy.

Wonderful news on independent Medyascope: AFP photojournalist Yasin Akgül, Bülent Kılıç, Zeynep Kuray and other colleagues and friends have been released after public pressure👏🏼However, many others, such as students still haven't.

At least 10 journalists covering the protests in Istanbul have been detained in early morning police raids, some of whom I know from Istanbul -- among them great AFP photojournalist Yasin Akgül and Bülent Kılıç. Here's the list of our colleagues (by Diken):

Tens of thousands of people outside Istanbul city hall and Çağlayan courthouse, where detained mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu & others at hearing. Signs he may be arrested.. Entrances and exits to city are restricted, opposition Halk TV reports. Police in front of city hall used pressured water and tear gas.

Olipa kiinnostava Syyria-seminaari Fimeltä tänään Helsingin Yliopistolla, kiitos järjestäjille! Ääneen pääsivät Suomessa asuvat syyrialaiset itse. Osa juuri käynyt Syyriassa vosien jälkeen. Paljon optimismia mutta myös isoja kysymyksiä ja jakolinjoja nousi esiin, erityisesti kurdien vaateet/huolet.

Olipa kiinnostava Syyria-seminaari Fimeltä tänään Helsingin Yliopistolla, kiitos järjestäjille! Ääneen pääsivät Suomessa asuvat syyrialaiset itse. Osa juuri käynyt Syyriassa vosien jälkeen. Paljon optimismia mutta myös isoja kysymyksiä ja jakolinjoja nousi esiin, erityisesti kurdien vaateet/huolet.
Finlandiya'da sevgililer günü yerine bugün dostlar günü kutlanıyor (o da sosyaldemokratlaştırılmış). Bildiğim kadarıyla sadece burada ve Estonya'da böyle. Kuzeyde ayaklar biraz fazla mı yere basıyor, ne.. 😁 yine de dostların ve dostluğun günü kutlu olsun! Hyvää ystävänpäivää!

Ehkäpä yllättävä vieras Suomen Islam-seurakunnan 100-vuotisjuhlanäyttelyn avajaisissa Kansallisarkistossa. Halla-aho tervehti Suomen tataareja sanoin "sälam, duslar" (terve, ystävät). Muisti Suomen sodissa kaatuneita tataareja ja Tampereella maistamiaan pärämäçejä, puhui sujuvasta yhteiselosta.
