Yeah, I think that’s unfortunately one of the consequences of fandom (particularly anime) culture being more mainstream. More fans and content is amazing but it feels less personal.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of comments like that come from teens despite best efforts to create adult-only spaces.

Nope, I’m with you. I think Fandom creators are so talented that people sometimes forget that they’re not media companies but other fans that do this for FREE. People need to understand that comments like that might be seen as praise when directed at an official release but can be discouraging here.
