"take them away... AWAY TO SAFETY" is powerful and that cutscene is a core memory of mine

story-wise someone leaving can still sting, but at least mechanically in the game the player isn't hung out to dry

in all the grandia games there's party members that rotate in and out of the party and i find that so cool, BECAUSE if it's permanent then they leave something behind (skill books, exp items, etc, depending on which grandia) so leveling them up only for them to leave doesn't hurt too bad

jumping on this, i hope it's not too much to ask as well! I'm enjoying this game a whole bunch on both PC and switch and having a switch 2 patch for this game would be amazing! either way thanks for your support on this game!
