what i’m trying to say is, if you feel dumb about how you’re feeling right now, the people you’ve grown up looking upto - your parents - have been through the same thing if not worse, and they probably still see the world through the same eyes they had back then, but they’re just more reserved /

/ about what you wanna do after getting the degree you’re fighting day and night for, romantic relationships, friendships, among other things which i can’t think of right off the top of my head :p. they’ve experienced the same feelings that we do at our age, and have been just as dumb about it.

the next thing was about the tendency of parents or more accurately grown ups to be reserved about how they really feel about things. our parents have passed the same age as us and have felt the same way as we have about a lot of the things which our lives circle around - be it the cluelessness /

in such a circumstance, being financially dependent on a partner will make it tough for you to break away from them, and insofar as a girl in an indian household is concerned, at times it might even be a terribly misogynistic and orthodox family. so yeah get your degree and get your bag, ez.
