When I lost my dad to glioblastoma in 2019, I turned into a little boy with my grief. Bless Me, Papi was my escape, the only place where I could summon him beyond my sadness to see Papi with all his dancing and humor and more. Preorder link is up: nupress.northwestern.edu/979889948040...

I had the honor of working with The Blade to showcase the rich past and present of poetry in the northwest Ohio region. The final product is a page styled after the nineteenth-century press, which regularly featured poems.🗞️ 📰

I’m trying hard not to let the political climate in Ohio, and across the country, take this away from me. It wasn’t simply given. It was hard-earned. This is the wild dreams of ancestors—one generational push at a time. And I am grateful! Joyously relieved!
