4: Joey Cantillo is my favorite current fringe mlb pitcher, and Ralph Velazquez is my favorite milb slugger. the mariners should trade Kirby before his velo drops and he becomes completely ineffective. go get those two Guardians, plus Bo Naylor for Cal's backup (Cal crushes lhp)

2: Colt Emerson is Gavin Lux 2.0. bats lefty but like a natural righty; back hip isn't in on the action, but has 80-grade hands so he can still rip the ball gap to gap with authority, but will never be able to loft it to pull side. that's cool if he doesn't sell out trying to dead pull

Drummer is absolutely cookin. I can picture their setup without a shred of doubt (wood grain, concert toms (lots of em) a bunch of angled paistes) and imagine the engineer scrambling to adjust settings once they ripped into live takes after the setup checks were done at a margin of the same energy

Re: the Pohlad family wartime loan shark: have any of yall read Faulkner’s A Fable? There’s an arc describing a CO doing the same thing in ww1 but the rub was that everyone died before they could collect so he was running a reverse life insurance scheme on cannon fodder. Incredible book, ftr
