My guess is that it’s because they haven’t optimised the process, which makes the API costly. Once they get it to a level that’s more cost effective, they will release.

The cost number is misleading when trying to extrapolate to cost of full length movies. Key issue is going to maintaining coherence across videos when trying to stitch clips together. Currently coherence within a clip itself is a problem. This means multiple tries to get the correct clip…

It’s a good succinct summary across multiple sources, especially when you are looking for ‘how to’ answers. Like any other tool, you have to learn when it’s useful and when not. It’s not universally pointless.
