Should be writing, but is probably reading
The Kobo app is goofing up and putting me back at the beginning of the chapter or all the way back to the cover every time I open the book I’m reading. And if I bookmark the page I’m on it’ll not only move me back to the first page of the chapter but also move my bookmark there as well…

Every two months the wait time for my green card goes down one month… my extension might actually expire if they continue at this rate

Pronunciation guides are nice and all, but 15 pages of character and place names at the beginning of the book is such overkill

Just waiting for Storygraph to come back online so I can log the book I just finished 💙📚

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

With June being one of the rainiest months for Tennessee it’s honestly surprising that Bonnaroo doesn’t get rained out more often

For the first time my “papers” are actually a singular sheet of paper and I hate it, still got an estimated 24 months for them to decide to give me the card

nitpicky, but it bugs me when people switch ‘feral’ and ‘wild’

For some reason the notices that books were purchased came over an hour before the books became available to check out/put on hold on Libby yesterday, but it worked in my favour and I have several news releases to read now. Usually never fast enough to get the book immediately

Gonna cut out caffeine for a little bit, I think I’ve developed a tolerance to it… but I think I’m going to cut it out starting after coffee tomorrow morning, so any withdrawals don’t hit while I’m at work 🫡

I don’t know what caused my migraine today, but two of my coworkers were also having similar issues so I’m assuming it was environmental??

With the recent success of Andor, I'm getting more questions than usual about how to land a job writing Star Wars books, so let's do the yearly How to Write IP thread, shall we? Firstly, IP means Intellectual Property-- that's shows, movies, plays, even books, any world owned by someone else. 1/

The stealth marketing Fable has been using has honestly put me off downloading the app. Gonna pretend that their just normal booktok accounts but they all use the exact same wording and mention fable in every single post 💙📚

I swear my devices are talking to each other about what I’m doing because why did I get a book rec for a middle grade fantasy with a similar plot to the one I’m writing and then an ad for a book with the title I’ve been using for it 🙃

Knew it was going to be a busy day so I ordered for groceries to be delivered first thing in the morning so that it was done, it is now 5pm, no groceries have arrived and the app says both that they’ve been delivered and that it they aren’t delivered by 11:50pm I can request a cancellation…..

I feel like it’s common knowledge that AI makes stuff up, but then someone trusted it to come up with a reading list and didn’t even fact check before letting it get published????

Got one of those fancy government phone alerts about the potential for a severe thunderstorm with hail, but not a warning in sight for the tornado… and they know the weather radios aren’t working this week
