Is this still true in the Imperial period?

Would the US defend Europe? Would it really? Why would you trust the guy who invaded you to protect you?

NATO would cease to exist is what it would do.

I mean the actual Nobel peace prize want to a person who very much wanted the US to do this so it is in good company.

The Versailles treaty is basically null and void no matter who comes to power in Germany. The rearming had started before the Nazis came to power.

Wake Island. Which of course went horribly wrong on the first try because of it.

Does Guiness Brewery feature on that list or are Irish-Americans ignorant about it being protestant?

It would require their government to not self-sabotage when they are winning which they seem to have a tendency to do. Either because they see their victorious general/admiral as a threat to themselves or just due to simple penny pinching.

Hadn't they basically won the first Punic war but while Rome crowdfunded one last fleet Carthage refused to pay the upkeep for theirs so the lost the final naval battle that decided the war?

Also "centrist" means something very different in the Star Wars Legends universe than it does in our world. It means you are pro-centralisation of power in the New Republic government. Outer Rim planets are not big fans of that despite being the some of the fiercest Rebel Alliance supporters.

Can some of the discrepency be explained by there simply being more sources to work with the closer you get to the present?

I have read several books worth of articles, Wikipedia entries and social media and forum posts. Reading is reading.

I would like to hear your thoughts on Zachery Taylor. What deeds do you think he would accomplished if he lived longer or have I misunderstood the "died too soon" category?

Alaska actually inverts the rural vs town divide. The towns are the Republican strongholds there.

I want to see the type of integralism that involves doing whatever the Pope tells you to do no matter who is Pope.

Wang Jingwei might fit.

I just wish the modern astrologists actually bothered to base their predictions on the actual positions of the stars. What do you mean you use hundreds of year old charts that are no longer up to date? The astrologers of old are turning in their grave.

If I remember correctly Oman even had its own overseas colonial empire in east Africa.

I can tell as a Swedish person the complaints about long wait times, furor when a rural hospital is shut down and nurses exhaustion due to understaffing are eternal issues. Health care is a giant issue every single election season.

High speed rail and freight transport don't mix well at all. Freight don't care about speed but need to be able to handle high tonnage. High speed rail does not want to get stuck behind a slow freight train. You need separata lines for them and Europe spent it all on the fancy passenger rail.

You need to specify if your question is Doylist or Watsonian. Why did the animators give the Zaku tubes and why did Zeonic give it tubes are different questions.

Isn't that exactly what real wages are? Wages after you take into account inflation.
December 24, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Did archers actually do that in real battles? I can't image all the archers at Agincourt stood in a one rank deep formation so either they did or the people behind just did not shoot.
December 24, 2025 at 10:23 AM
Talking about Warhammer Fantasy. It has a very unique idea of what "volley fire" is. It is not shooting in coordinated salvos in the rules. It is about shooting above the heads of the person in front of you. Which ironically means archers can volley fire but muskets cannot.
