whenever people ask me about the future of the internet my advice to everyone is to locally stockpile as much media as you possibly can.
download everything. burn cds. store music and ebooks on a 4tb hard drive and keep another as backup. print shit on paper. if you can’t touch it you don’t own it.

I hate takes like this because the problem isn't that there's too much music, but that the infrastructure of music criticism that existed even ten years ago has essentially evaporated
