Turns out, I'd never shared the original Eliza design on this site. I dunno why. But here is the original design as a comparison to the previous post.

So much has changed. For good, I suppose.
The original design for Keeper!Eliza. Difficult to replicate now, but I kept several aspects of her original design. I can't scrap the whole thing.

Doodles for November. Trying to get the hang of my Keeper designs for Eliza and Catherine, before I get around to show the other three Keepers (two of whom have already been shown). I toned down Eliza's design so that she only had those simple 3-feathered wing designs all over her.
Sketches of a character named Eliza. Left sketch was the get the hang of her lanky design once more. Middle sketch is her Keeper form, with a bow that has the same wing-like feather motif as her eyes, wrists and ankles. The bottom-right sketch depicts her with her bird-like familiar, which also shares the wing-like feather motif as she does. Various sketches of Keeper!Catherine with her own bird familiar (middle sketch). She is also sketched to show various uses for her shards (as a hover board, as a shield, or in some weapon formations). Keeper!Catherine, depicted with 4 shards floating around her shoulders like a cape, and 4 more shards floating around her skirt. She also has 4 additional shards in a shield-like formation. One sketch (top-right) depicts her dancing with her shards spread out, while her shield shards remain in formation, waiting for her command. Another sketch (bottom-right) depicts her floating in front of all of her shards, as if she had just transformed into her Keeper form to battle against whatever forces I have yet to come up. I just wanted an excuse to draw magical girls, alright?

My last piece before November rolled in. I think I'm getting the hang of drawing books! But putting Roslan through most of these prompts was a fun treat for myself.

I was only able to merge two prompts together once, but I had to draw both characters to compensate.

Vampire was fun. I love that pencil outline.

For every drawing you have seen, there should only be ONE character from my bingo card. If any piece contains 2 or more characters (or repeats), that's cause the characters weren't in my list.

So the way that this OC-Tober works is that everyone is given a bingo card containing characters to draw, and a new prompt is revealed every day to the final day.

Some of these were fun to draw. Especially the one for Games. That was awesome.

So I finally woke up at the end of September. Something something about a song, and somehow Catherine is my main focus lately-

I want to emphasise on her Keeper form, but I realise I should do a better job showing her design first before I throw diamonds onto her. This is good enough~
A drawing of Catherine, with many orange shards at her disposal. She looks particularly cross. Someone must've stolen the last of her pumpkin spice latte-flavoured icing sugar for her drinks. Whatever the situation, these shards were fun to position around her.

Though I had strayed far from the original intent, and went all-in for Castlevania aesthetics. Even gave Roslan a Platinum Tip for the whip.

I don't know what else to say. I just love Castlevania. :D

So I have a few sketches done recently, but I hadn't gotten the motivation to finish them properly. So I sketched Catherine multiple times, cause that's where my focus has gone onto lately.

I need to share these sketches without feeling the need to finish them.
Very few of sketches of Catherine fill this page. I had attempted to create a reference-like page, but I dropped the motivation to finish the left-most sketch. The right-most ones were meant to showcase how her body and her height next to Roslan, who is my default for height purposes. More sketches of Catherine on this page, featuring Orchid (top left), Siobhan (top right, in need of a design update), and Peach (bottom right). The middle-bottom sketch shows her role as a cheerleader, and she's probably annoyed by something that had appeared on her phone in the midst of her rehearsal. Various sketches also depict her with her crystalline shards that she can conjure and use as daggers. I had wanted to draw a few floating around her, but I think I'll do that next time.

Just my characters celebrating the Aramonian festivities. It's fun to do some monochrome work, then some full colour with some simple shading!

Roslan and Munais, lit by the flames or orange lights that adorn the festival, were having a stroll to take in what they can find from the Aramonian festival. Munais is dressed accordingly to the festival, while Roslan only has a feather stuck behind his ear in a shoddy attempt to blend in. As they were minding their business, taking in the sights and sounds, their eyes come across a performance that is behind the viewer. Both are intrigued, and Munais has her phone out to record the show. Roslan just wants to enjoy it with his eye-themed candy on a stick. He still doesn't understand what's the significance of the eye on food. It just smelled tasty. On a different stage elsewhere at the Aramonian festival, Desiree is dressed and performing on stage. She has been preparing for this moment, because she wanted to perform solo for a while to keep her steps and tempo up-to-date. She looks as if she's holding the sun, even if that's one of the lights on stage. Meanwhile, Munais, Roslan, Elvard and a familiar plant (who is sipping on a drink) are admiring the show. They pale in comparison to Desiree, hence them remaining in sketch form. In the bottom-right corner is Alura, who is also dressed for the Aramonian festival. She's leaning on one of her flowers, who is in the midst of digesting a large food item she'd paid for. The other flower near her is mesmerised by Desiree's performance.

So not long ago, I saw a couple of Re-Ment's Romantic Collection boxes on a shelf. I bought them because there was a Primarina among the possible figures, so I HAD to get my Primarina-

And I did! In the first box! Then I saw all the seam lines. So I cleaned then painted her up-
Re-Ment's Romantic Collection series Primarina in her basic splendor! You can notice a few seam lines on her head, hair and maybe tail if you look really closely. Primarina, after being painted! I know that she doesn't look as smooth as she previously was, but white is a notoriously difficult colour to paint on a model. I tried to put an under-layer of ice blue before applying some cold white on the top, but the colour white refused to cooperate. No matter, I like how her tail and hair turned out after painting~ She's a lot more saturated than normal, but I'll imagine that she's MY Primarina. My Primarina from another angle. Notice how garish the seam lines look on the pearls. Ugh, cleaning those up will be a nightmare. Another angle of my Primarina, now from the back so you can admire the ice blue frills, the imperial blue tail and that nice turquoise hair. Didn't even realise that Primarina's hair was turquoise until I painted mine.

Just thought I'd blast this guy out. I've been keeping an eye on them for some time just to see what they're like.

I have art!

It's a scene of Scylla's workspace. No idea if I'd ever want to fill everything in this scene with colour. Some things just look nicer when they're blank. And I think I need to take a break from character references, because I've been doing that for almost 7 months now.

The scene shows Scylla at work, staring at a bottle of hair shampoo for her reclined customer. Feather shampoo would be more appropriate, but aren't feathers a form of hair? Maybe it works the same for these guys. Don't ask me for worldbuilding stuff. I'm too lazy to work those out. So anyways, Scylla is about to wash her client's hair without any form of safety, because Scylla can manipulate water. She can easily keep the water from falling onto her client's clothes or the chair, which has a hole for their clients' tails to poke through. Gotta have some space for that. In the back, there is Scylla's work partner, Romi. She looks like she's doing something to the other client's hair. Dyeing streaks? Spraying? Don't ask me about hair salon details. I know nothing about it, other than my visits to get my hair trimmed in a tiny room. Which is probably what I had based Scylla's workplace off of. On the top-right corner, we have a few portraits of celebrities and their hairstyles. One of them looks familiar. Her name rhymes with Rob. And in the back is another client, waiting for their turn in the seats. There are only two hairdressers in this hair salon, but they must be pretty good with their work quality if they are willing to wait for their turn. Maybe they'd just arrived. Maybe it is their day off. Maybe they're just waiting for their friend, so they're enjoying the relaxing playlist flowing out of the speakers above the lights. Maybe I should've darkened this room for a moody atmosphere.

Uh, Scylla's reference took almost a month to finish? I think I was struck by demotivation. Must've been from all the references I've been doing, but barely any character interactions among my own characters.

A nude reference of Scylla, showcasing her body pattern as well as the colours that could be found on her. There's surprisingly few for a character as detailed as her. On the right side are sketches of some of her powers. One shows an eel-like creature (I think it's an oarfish?), another the jaws of a dogfish, a shellfish acting as a shield, and a swarm of flying fish. At the bottom-right side, we see Scylla with some of my characters. She's not expressive around her cousin (Eve), she gets harassed by Kielo to work on her tentacle hair (don't worry, they don't sting at Kielo's command), she's snoozing back-to-back with Filmore, and she's trying to figure out what Roslan is trying to figure out by mimicking his posture. This page feels rushed. I didn't bother to colour Scylla on the left to show the colours of her outfit better, but looking at it now, it was a good idea. It shows the colours of her outfit properly, without accidentally blending in to her blues. The middle of the page features my understanding of how her outfit is layered. The bottom-left shows the back of her skirt. The bottom-middle shows her skirt's layers, and how her boa drapes behind her. Another sketch nearby shows that her boa begins at the elbows, and on the bottom-right we see how her boa wraps around her arms, along with directions. I'm not sure if they translate well, as who knows how you and I see this boa. All that matters is that there are three "layers" to her boa on each arm. The middle-top sketch was my attempt at her underwear. I know nothing about underwear. I've tried to find references, and I still don't know how much of the fabric covers her rear and front. Seriously, how do people draw these? It is my artistic struggle. Then on the top-right, we have a coloured drawing of Scylla in her work uniform. It's a simple black apron over a turquoise dress, which looks green because of her blues. The volume of her hair looks smaller, as there is where she keeps the water that she will use to work on her client's hair. Thinking about it now, she could just have a bucket instead. That's a lot simpler.

Come to think of it, I should pose her with my busted up Hyaku-Shiki. It was the first action figure I had, along with a Char's Z'Gok, which is now missing. I miss those bad boys.

Expect more photos, I suppose! I'm pretty proud of her fighty-pose.
A very angry Liya, wielding her wooden sword and mallet. I had completely forgotten that she has an axe, but a sword and hammer combo hurts equally much in the hands of an adept fighter. I don't think Liya is that skilled in fighting, but she's got muscles. I finally found the tool to move her eyes by the time that I took this photo. Before this, I had tried to move her eyeballs with my fingernails on pegs at the back of her eyes. Now she's looking properly! And this is when I remembered her having an axe. So she has every accessory in this photo. And she looks like she's wondering how she'll carry everything. It's possible, but she'd have to hold her sword and hammer with her axe on her belt. That wouldn't be safe.

So she arrived at my place recently.

It's Liya! An action figure made by LADoToys. And honestly? She's a lot cooler than what the market pictures show! I like the feel of the material she's made of. Reminds me of the Gundam action figures I used to have, somehow.
Liya, an Arctic Fox who's a mechanic! I don't know the level of technology in this world if she's using a wooden mallet. Another photo of Liya. I tried to replicate the pose on her profile card. She kinda fell over while I was trying to take this photo. This photo also shows that her braid is movable. That's neat! It can be put in the front or back of her shoulder. Her tail can also be moved in sections, so I moved the white tip pointing towards the camera. Liya with a sad-ish face as she looks questioningly at her tools. She has a variable wrench and a normal wrench, a screwdriver, and a mallet in this photo. Liya with a shy face. Trying out different hands, as she only has 8 hands (4 left and 4 right) that I can choose from, and the only matching pair were closed fists. This one shows two different open hands, one is spread out (left hand), and the other is narrow (right hand).

I tried doodling a few scenarios involving interactions with Scylla. So we get to see her in her work outfit! It's only a sketch for now, but it was fun to imagine what she does for a living. More in Alt!

There are three sketches of Scylla. The top sketch depicts her checking a bottle for its instructions while Lyn and Venice have their fur/hair coated in water that Scylla is casually controlling. Only Lyn wears a mantle to protect her clothes from the water. Venice does not need one, as he's not wearing clothes. She's making sure the shampoo does not cause their fur to frizz up. The bottom left sketch depicts Scylla sitting in a horrible posture on a sofa. But she looks pretty photogenic with her head resting on her hand, so I am keeping the sketch as is. The bottom right sketch depicts Scylla far away while a suspicious individual is glancing at his watch that I couldn't draw proper. That is the curse of a sketch I didn't want to spend too long working on. At least there is an outline for the water that envelopes his hair. Scylla wonders which of her unlabelled shampoo bottles is best for this nervous customer.

I love doing things at the last moment. So have a Pride Month themed piece of my characters celebrating!

I'm pretty happy for these guys. I feel like I've been in the slump for a whole month. Not sure what could've caused it, but I guess I'm somewhat back in the art business. Ish. We'll see.
A Pride Month themed piece, featuring Roslan holding an Asexual Flag, Munais holding a Pride Disability Flag, Elvard holding a Bisexual Flag, and Desiree holding a "Love is love" placard, but the second "love" is a heart in the colours of LGBTQ+. The characters have no colour, while the background is the colour of a rainbow flag of Pride Month.
