Shin Bet had promoted Hamas to divide Palestine and Israel supported Qatar funding Hamas.
In 2011 Netanyahu had released islamist Yahya Sinwar from prison instead of secular Marwan Barghouti. Netanyahu has again removed Barghouti from the release list.

The jailed secular pragmatist Marwan Barghouti is by far the most popular politician in Palestine and the most promising candidate for the presidency.
With Barghouti as president of the Palestinians, the two-state solution can succeed. Therefore Israel will not allow Barghoutis release.

Caren Miosga’s talk about Mideast crisis disappointed. The nexus is the 100-year problem of Palestine. Give them a state, sovereignty and restore their dignity and the Iran problem will shrink to its original level.
