I still struggle to find a better translation of "ni modo" than "whatcha gonna do" and have involuntarily used ni modo in English conversations.

That is a triumph worthy to celebrate. I see no such victories on my horizon...only absurdly early feasts, then retreating to my aunt's living room to sleep while the serious people compare their investment portfolios.
